This will be the last show until the fall. We’re taking a hiatus to double down on our format, make sure our content is delivering value to our fans and come back with even more fresh ideas and insightful perspectives on revenue generation.
In this episode of What’s Wrong With Revenue?, we’re going to talk honestly about what’s required to grow revenue today and how athletes like Tom Brady, LeBron James and Tiger Woods can show you exactly what you have to do to grow your company.
These three athletes all have something in common – they are widely considered the greatest of all time in their respective sports. But they didn’t get there by accident, and it wasn’t raw talent that got them there either.
It took hard work, a never-ending commitment and an investment of both time and money in their own professional development, training, conditioning and expertise. They knew that to be the best, they needed to work with the best trainers, the best conditioning experts, the best sports therapists and the best coaches.
Not only that, but they needed to invest their time and energy all year long. You need to consider a similar approach to revenue generation and business growth.
There are no shortcuts. There are no easy buttons. You need to work with the best, invest appropriately and never stop working to get to your goals. That’s how you grow your business.
In this show (my personal favorite), we talked about what going all-in on revenue growth means from a time and investment perspective. Too many companies try to get by with the minimum investment, the cheapest agency, the cheapest technology and the smallest budget for marketing.
This is never going to help you win the Super Bowl or get to your revenue goals. Worse, it’s probably going to produce sub-par results, and you’ll have wasted all your time and money with nothing to show for it. Then you’ll probably blame the agency, even though it was your fault. Sorry, but sometimes honesty hurts.
During the show, we tackle (no pun intended) exactly how to make this your company’s top priority and get everyone focused on this one goal. We’ll share how you can get all your partners or any agency you work with to be all-in too. Here’s a little secret – they’re already all-in. They’re just waiting for you to go all-in with them.
These amazing athletes don’t leave anything to chance, and they use analytics to make sure they’re improving. You can use analytics too to track your progress and make sure you’re improving.
But the first step is always the same. You have to ask yourself: “Do I want to win the Super Bowl?”
